Library
The library is situated on the second floor of the Knut Hamsun Centre. This is where the Hamsun collection is located. You can find different editions of Hamsun’s works, translations and literature about Hamsun. The goal is to build up a collection that encompasses everything written by and about Hamsun, and we are already well on our way to achieving this. It is not possible to borrow the books, but you may read them on the premises.
The library also features areas to sit and relax and work areas with wi-fi internet access. The library comprises a combination of library interior and art installation made by Stenberg/Sørensen. There is direct access from the library to the famous “empty violin case” balcony from where you can take pleasure in the view and sound installation made by Jana Winderen.
